Origami Owl With Feather (Yoshio Tsuda)

"Yeah, maybe", said the little owl, "but you could also have become something completely different at that stage and they were nice suggestions. Dare to be different is my motto too."

"You are quite right, my little friend. So happy we met! Let's enjoy the sun for a little while more." ~~~

 

This origami owl is also from the same designer (Yoshio Tsuda), as the previous owls that I showed you and here a tessellation technic is used for making the feathers.

The other difference is that this model isn't closed at the back. That has the advantage that light can pass through, which I did with the help of the sun. And that makes the feather pattern more beautiful, at least I think so.

Forgive me the scratches on the table, I did my best to polish them away.....;-))

 

Paper:

- For the white owl I used a 30x30cm white tissue foil.

Final size: height 11cm, length 7cm, width 5cm

 

- For the 'golden' owl I used thin brownish wrapping paper 20x20cm.

Final size: height 7cm, length 5cm, width 4cm
