Origami Locomotive (Akira Kawamura)

“Sometimes, the best adventures are the ones we can only dream about.”

Quote ― Wilbert Awdry

These 'dinky toy' trains remind me of 'Thomas The Tank Engine, because of the colors and their shape, I guess. Funny, that I found a quote of the author of those great stories ;-))

Anyway, yesterday I showed you the whole train set (see first comment box, if you missed it), today a different view on the locomotives and their first car for three reasons: First the left red one has a different folded front and chimney, second I did a color change, third just because I like them ;-))

This will be also the last photo of this mini train series. Thank you all very much for your very nice and kind comments, views and favs, much appreciated!

I will be off for two weeks. Have fun and sweet dreams, take care and see you later ;-))

Paper:

I used double colored Kraft paper red/gold.

Both the locomotives are made out of three parts:

- the body 24x12cm,

- the wheels 19x11cm

- the red chimney 18x10cm and the golden chimney 20x8cm

Ensemble them together and you get the locomotive. No cuts, no glue.

Final size: length 12cm, width 3,5, height red locomotive 6,5cm, golden one 8,5cm

The little car is folded from a piece of Kraft paper 14x5cm

Final size: length 5cm, width 3,5 cm, height 4cm
