N465 and H set about to depart platform 1 Spencer Street

Platform 1 at Spencer Street station was dual gauge the road to the right of the N class was Standard gauge and allowed the engine from the incoming standard gauge train to escape. Of an evening the Southern Aurora was held there until the Spirit of Progress departed.
