DSC_6416 - Red-rumped Parrot (Psephotus haematonotus)

Took a walk around the wetlands/lagoons at Glen Iris this morning but the birds were more elusive than usual. After some while I discovered these beauties in the grass. So settled down with camera and waited for them to come nearer. Eventually they did, for a few seconds. Then someone detoured from the pedestrian path to cross 'my' grass and scared them away.
