The (former) Circus Drive In, in all its 35mm low-fi analog splendor.
This was the coolest, circular shaped, 20th Century, circus themed burger and fried seafood joint. "Was," because it was closed in 2016, and torn down in 2017.
My guess...………...the shifting demographics of: A People's Republic of NJ full of affluent, out of state transplants, Audi driving vegans and this type of place was far too low-brow for shifting consumer tastes. No tasty organic chicken wraps, vegan tofu salad, $7 soy frappuccino lattes, or ApplePay. If I were a betting man, I'd say this is the future home of condos, starting at $800,000. Who knows, maybe a 2 for 1...……...luxury condos AND a Starbucks.
That Jiffy Lube's gonna' have to go too. I'll be DAMNED if I'm having some $10/hour member of the Proletariat putting his greasy paws on my fine German motor car.
