Veteran's grave at Western Star cemetery

This is the final resting place of Pvt. John Bunnel of the Titus Co.,Ohio, U.S. Army, War of 1812.

This photo was posted in honor of Pvt. Bunnel's service to his country on this Veteran's Day, 2015.

This is a newer headstone. The earliest markers, if still standing, are quite faded.

The Western Star Cemetery was established in the early 1800's as final resting spot for residents of Western Star, a hamlet in what was known as Wolf Creek Township as part of the Western Reserve in the Ohio territory.

It is the second oldest cemetery in what is now the city of Norton, Ohio.

A number of veterans are buried in this cemetery, dating from as early as the Revolutionary War to conflicts in modern times.
