These are the kind of events where you become acutely aware how big everything up there is and how tiny everything down here is. Not sure I'll ever see anything like this again in our little corner of the planet. Just mind-blowing.

 

I'd set up the camera pointing north - but then noticed the sky to the east and then south light up as shown here.
