Fearless
I've seen these quite a few times before, either at Glacier or at PNW wildlife refuges, but they're always hunting and moving so fast that I just get a blurry or distant shot of them. However this weasel--part of a group one evening at Logan pass--was very interested in me. A couple of times s/he approached nearly to my feet, and within the minimum focus distance of my lens.
This and the wolverine sighting have made me much more interested in weasels. I've seen tons of otters and quite a few mink close to home. I saw a martin once in Yellowstone, but got no photos. Once I thought I saw a fisher in the Enchantments area, but it was just for a moment and I'm not sure. One thing I'm sure I have never seen living is a badger, although I've seen too many dead by the roadside. Long tailed weasel, Logan Pass, Glacier National Park, Montana.
