Sheep Rocks

The landscape at the John Day Fossil Beds was very interesting in every direction and I'm very glad we chose to visit there. As far as photos are concerned, it was clear that it was the kind of place where photographs should really be taken in early morning or evening light. However, I've come to accept that I'm just not the kind of person who is out and about at such hours. I don't know if this particular feature actually has a name--and we certainly saw no sheep--but this is taken from the Blue Basin Loop Trail, Sheep Rock Unit, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Oregon.
