Warbler Mania

It's warbler-mania in the yard right now. Orange-crowned and yellow-rumpeds are very numerous. The first Wilson's warbler of the season made several appearances in the yard yesterday and there are more today. This morning I saw the Nashville warbler again and the first Townsend warbler since early spring. McGillivray's and black-throated gray warblers are all in the realm of possibility right now. I never have seen a yellow warbler in the yard but they are common enough at the nearby ponds and it is certainly possible. I'm not sure what is the most warbler species I have seen in the yard in a single day, but this morning's number (five)--while a way short of the theoretical mark--is probably close to a personal best.
