Royal Air Force Hawk Fast Trainer Jets Approach RAF Valley

Pictured in the forground is a 208 Sqn Hawk TMK1 on final approach before landing with two 19 (F) Squadron Hawk TMK1s.

 

With a rich and varied history 208 Squadron (208 Sqn) reformed at Royal Air Force Valley on 4 April 1994 and now operates as part of 4 Flying Training School at the air station.

 

The Sqn has been located in Dunkirk, Egypt, the Middle East and back to the Uk at Honington. Now a reserve Sqn, 208 (R) Sqn forms part of the flying training for fast jet pilots at RAF Valley located on the Isle of Anglesey North Wales.

 

208 Sqn celebrated their 95th Anniversary with numerous flying spectacles and the Diamond Nine formation pictured is the showpiece illustrating the close formation flying 208 Sqn teaches to the Students.
