Trocadero Piccadilly - Demolition Services from Deconstruct UK

Deconstruct contracted to remove escalators, travelators, lifts, podiums, and significant redundant plant from tourist attraction the Trocadero, London.

About the project:

Deconstruct offer a dependable single-stage solution encompassing all aspects of site enablement through to the construction phase of a project.

The client was preparing for a significant construction phase of development on this structure and required the removal of all plant and escalators from within the substantial central core area over 7 floors.

The Trocadero had famously been converted from the Sega Centre in 1994 and had created a substantial central atrium area where “Rocket” escalators travelled from ground to fourth floors, and travelators crossed the atrium at 5th and 6th floor. To remove these escalators, significant design scaffold with fire retardant boards had to be installed.
