Emley Village Christmas Tree Lights switch on.....Friday 9th December, 2016.
This year our small rural village of Emley in West Yorkshire raised funds to purchase a lovely big Christmas Tree for our village. After all the hard work of raising the funds the organisers went the extra mile and staged a proper light switch on ! Including a Town Crier, Santa who arrived in a trailer behind a tractor illuminated with lights, even the Mayor and Mayoress were in attendance. Such a shame that the rain clouds had to come over...but a few photos that I managed to snap whilst trying not to get too wet !
