Veil Nebula

This cosmic beauty is called the Veil Nebula, named after its delicate wispy filamentary structure. These colourful smoke like wisps of gas are the remains of a spectacular explosion of a star 20 times bigger than our Sun that occurred 8000 years ago. If we could see that explosion it would be so bright as to be visible in the daytime. Our ancestors probably did. There are very few objects in our line of sight that contain this kind of detail of powerful shock waves of a supernova

I collected over 17 hours of data using 6 filters to portray its true colour.
