Stabilizing the canoe...
As we approached one of the Lake Louisa islands, the wind and waves picked up and rain started falling about half way during our 4 Km paddle. Placing the paddle on the water In a slow reverse paddle angle keeps the bow from tipping opposite the wind blowing lateral to the side of the canoe. After this photograph, I put the camera away and we pulled to the lee of the island in front of us to wait out the heavy rain that began to fall. Some subsequent images below...
