I won't be uploading photos for a while; I had a disk crash last Thursday. Everything was backed up (provided I can work out how to extract music from my ipod to my PC!), but my laptop is too slow for photographic work. Processing RAWs is just too painful. You make a tweak, then go away and wait for spring to arrive while the screen refreshes.
My experience of Maxtor disks isn't good. I had another disk crash 2 years ago, and lost a lot of data. This one is the replacement. They have sent me out a warranty replacement disk, but it's coming from Hungary, and being transported by stagecoach. Or at least I assume it is. How else can they justify the ten day delivery time?

All better at last! I was wrong about the stagecoach; Maxtor use trained squirrels to deliver their replacement drives.
