We were on a TWO week Scottish Rover! The only one I've ever done! Many one week rovers prior to this, but with the help of Bernie MacD in Inverness TOPS office, we pretty much knew what was working what! As 'new' locos weren't a great priority, we went for mileage with 40s and 26s! We had over 1,300 miles with 26037 during the course of the holiday! An exhausting time! This was the holiday that ended up with a tired 'crew' looking forward to home and a 'proper' bed. only to find ourselves taking 40091 from Birmingham to Ealing Broadway via Princes Risborough and finally getting home via London Paddington and Birmingham!
