Great Horned Owl - Tiger Owl

Great horned owl (Bubo virginianus) aka tiger owl. The eyes of great horned owls are proportionally one the largest and are also considered to be one of the most powerfully acute in the animal kingdom.

 

I had the privilege of photographing this incredible creature at the awesome Center for Birds of Prey in South Carolina.
