In Hamilton, there is a song that references being in 'the room where it happens'. This evening, I was in the stadium where it happens. Some of you may know that after far too many years, a couple of months ago a historic agreement was reached where both the men and women who are called up to play for the national team would receive equal pay. But the agreement had not actually been signed-until tonight. US Soccer officials and members of the players association sat down at a table placed on the pitch and signed the agreement. It was history in the making and I got to witness it. Equal pay for men and women who play on the national team is now a reality
