HESR 3526, SAGINAW, MI 10-27-2025
The Huron and Eastern 800 job is seen on the west side of Lake States' Saginaw Yard swapping cars and building their outbound transfer. The air aspirated GP38-2 sounded great as they went back and forth multiple times before disappearing down into the yard and leaving to the northeast. The 3526 came out of EMD in October 1972 as Mopac 2059, went to the UP as their 322, then became the HLCX 1822. HESR picked it up and the G&W painted in it the orange and black corporate image with the unique logo.
