An unplanned opportunity presented itself this morning and it was quickly seized. With the Apache coming into town to pick up a windmill tower train, they brought back an empty hopper car that they used as a buffer car on yesterday's train to separate some tankers from the power. The crew decided to shove it out of the way in the depot track and with that, spot their power next to the 800 for a few pictures. Even better was the discovery of the nose stripes being painted since yesterday afternoon. After a close up inspection of the work by the crew, they were back on the power and rolling down to the tower train.
