APA 98, SB, HOLBROOK, AZ 9-17-2022
The Apache Railway's first windmill parts train was on its way from Holbrook enroute to Snowflake this morning. In a special Saturday move, the APA reactivated C420 #82 to help with the 26 HD flatcars totaling 5625 tons. Seen here, the 98, 82, 81, and 99 are clawing their way out of the Little Colorado River Basin at about 20mph and approaching the Hwy. 377 crossing. The late morning departure allowed for some different views with the sun still mostly on the east side of tracks.
