Shadows of the Past: Brewer Fountain, Boston Common, No.1

The fountain was a gift to the city by Gardner Brewer. It first started working on June 3, 1868 and is the only known surviving copy of the original, which was featured at the 1855 Paris World Fair. It was designed by French artist Liénard and is decorated with the figures of Neptune, Amphitrite (Neptune's wife), and Acis and Galatea. (From Wikipedia)
