Bow Jacobs

MCGILL U held an OKA crisis 15th anniversary event on their grounds. Remembering on July 11, 2005. . Photo © Linda Dawn Hammond / IndyFoto.com 2005 Bow Jacobs is from the Six Nations reserve and describes himself as homeless by choice. He stands proudly beside the Mohawk flag, symbol of defiance and pride. Many believe that the Oka conflict brought together the disparate tribes and helped reclaim their Native identities.
