200 Farads in this little thing! whoa!
Perhaps a few of these arranged thoughtfully will make a flux capacitor? 1955, here I come!
One used to have to explain a capacitor a little more than a buffer.. A kind of little bucket you could use to store some charge in, but hardly useful for any serious storage. But when it comes to something anywhere near this kind of capacitance, forget that talk, this is like a decently massive battery that can be disturbingly quickly charged or discharged.
By the way, 200 Farads is EXTREMELY INSANE. This cap is like $25, but regardless, the guy who showed me this reminded me that 20 years ago, the claim was that you'd need enough capacitors to fill a house to get around 1F. So yeah, this is NUTS. This thing could source about 700W for a second (AKA: ~700J) - So two of them could run something insane like a hair drying or a solar car (for a second at full steam). Nutty.
