Rotating Tower, Glasgow Science Centre
Yes, I know, this is an extremely over-photographed subject. I already have at least one photo of it in my stream but this year I couldn't pass up another attempt since I had a tripod on me when I was there and the skies were just too good to resist.
The tower was closed this year so we didn't get to go up it. Given how clear the day was, I imagine the view from the top would have been fantastic. When things are working as they should, the whole structure rotates to point into the wind. As far as I can gather, the rotation mechanism has proven somewhat problematic since and it has been closed to visitors quite a bit in the decade or so since it opened.
If you like my photos, your vote in the 2009 Photoblog Awards would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
