Plymouth Hoe Relics
Around the foreshore are a number of rocky areas with various pools and steps. Even though new railings are in place in patches a few old relics remain. Here a beautiful stone pillar stands resolute against the deades of storms while a cast iron post slowly rusts in the background.
The concrete pad in the background, green with seaweed, was home to the Hoe diving board which was in situ from the 1930s until dismantling in 2010. Amazing it was safe in 1930 but 80 years later people can't be trusted to use it any more? Regression?
