Davis PT1187SC
In as-removed condition, this Davis lantern runs a 70w SON lamp and features a NEMA socket on top of the canopy extrusion. Dating from the 1980s, the lantern's polycarbonate bowl has yellowed over the years.
Control gear for the lamp is mounted remote from the lantern. The canopy is removed by first taking out the NEMA cell, and then undoing 2 captive sprung screws alongside the NEMA socket.
The lantern was a one-off in Plymouth, and was the victim of a relighting programme on the outskirts of the city in 2011.
