Philips SGS253 "Iridium"
The SGS253 is the medium sized version from the Iridium family, and is generally used at 8-10m mounting heights.
This particular lantern is a very early Iridium dating to 2000 and unlike later models, only has a single grub screw for bracket mounting. The lamp run is a 150w CDM-TT with magnetic control gear and a NEMA socket. Because of the strange specification and early date, it would appear to be an unused sample lantern which was never trialled. Plymouth later adopted the SGS253 for main road lighting in 2006.
