Phosco P177
The P177 is one of the smallest side entry lanterns to be found, and is just big enough to hold an 80w/125w MBFU lamp. The lantern still retains its original glass bowl, and alhtough it was drilled for a 2-part cell in service, I have filled this during restoration. The lantern is still awaiting a full repaint, and so at this stage the 'Oddie' key latch has been temporarily removed.
These lanterns could be found in small pockets across Devon, although recent replacements has left them very few and far between.
