Thorn Gamma 3
Saved with permission from a demolition site, this Gamma 3 was the sole survivor of the original installation. All others had been replaced by 70w Thorn Gamma Basiques.
The lantern still retained a 250w GEC 'Trulite' MBFU lamp dating to Jan 1975. This could well be original to the lantern, which is an amazing lifespan! Until disconnection a month or so ago, the lamp was still working, albeit a little dim.
A full restoration is required, although luckily the bowl has no cracks or splits.
