Z8491 @ Kingskerswell

A very rare example of one of GEC's range of small Mercury lanterns. The Z8491 is the earliest version of the series which ended up as the popular Z8896 lantern. The Z8491 can be distinguished from the later Z8591 by the extruded spigot, and the Z8496 by the horizontal attitude of the glassware. This particular example still retains its glass bowl and MBFU lamp.
