Stairway to Heaven, Hawaii
Haiku Stairs, Kaneohe Hawaii 2014.
This is about 1/4 of the way up the mountain, looking back as I descend out of the clouds from the summit (the summit is obscured by clouds at 3,200 ft.).
The stairs were built in 1942 to access a Navy radio beacon for communication with Pacific fleet warships...3,922 steps in total.
I climbed in the dark with a headlamp, and descended during the early morning.
