The town of Jumirayat was an eerie town. It had many structures that had been torn, blown or burnt down. This was a place where the Sunni and Shi'ite warring had gone on according to a tribal leader we spoke with.
This small child's shoe was in the courtyard of a destroyed home. It was dry rotted from the sun and I wonder how long ago the child wore it and who and where that child was now.
