Dependents Day

Today was the day that marked 2 years since myself and my girlfriend, Kate, first spoke right here on flickr. It really doesn't seem like 2 years has passed, but it has been the happiest time of my life. And it is getting better as Kate is coming to live here in the UK in just 7 weeks! I can't wait.

 

Today is also Independence Day in the US, when, ironically enough, the US became independent of British rule. But for me, it feels more like Dependents Day, as I have certainly grown dependent on Kate!

 

This is the gift that Kate sent me. Is it cute. She wanted me to take a picture because she spent a lot of time on it and I think it is cool anyway. However, I have been so busy and I was really rushed so the light and colours aren't the best. I am going to go open this now. I bet it is all sweet and will make me want to tear up, because Kate is sweet like that. Unfortunately I couldn't work out the exact date that me and Kate met and I didn't remember to send her anything. You can't even buy anything in the US from the UK and have it delivered there which ticked me off! So I am sorry Kate, but I will make it up to you. I promise. Thank you for putting up with me for 2 years and for being brave enough to live in another country to be closer to me! And thank you for all your love and support and just for being so awesome and beautiful. I love you and I can't wait to be with you!
