Bluebells & Bokeh Bubbles

I finally found some bluebells! This lone example hidden deep in the woods. I love its placement though, because when the wind blew just right a narrow shaft of light hit various petals and I waited to get one I liked. The wind made it hard though as the flower was moving all over the place.

I love the swirly dizzying bokeh in this. I used a really old a worn lens, a Helios 44-2 58mm f/2. Its sharpish with great colours, but can struggle with contrast and the flare is terrible! The lens is so battered and tiny (I will have to take a picture), and the aperture ring is loose and slips, but I also like that as the aperture can be changes smoothly and with no defined values. I also love that distinctive bokeh!

I'm going to post a rubbish video if I can, which shows how windy it is. I don't use the video on the 5D enough because of problems I had converting the videos, but the iMac handles them well. The quality can be amazing! But not with me doing it and certainly not handheld, using a lens with a loose aperture and stiff focus rings and with the wind blowing hard! Feel free to take a look if you are interested :)
