Piles of rhododendron

At Towneley

 

 

Volunteers are using machetes to chop down scores of rhododendrons in the woods at Towneley park.

I didn’t realise that rhododendrons are invasive, and a threat to habitats, fauna and flora.

 

Here’s a photo of a pile that they’re made.
