40016 Doncaster 29Apr78

A little rough around the edges but posted for historic value, class 40 no. 40016 heads south through Doncaster (presumably towards March?) on 29th April 1978.

 

Just about visible on the body side are the bolt holes used to secure the "Campania" nameplate in a previous life. To the right can be seen the efforts from the early stages of track rationalization.

 

Any help with the working appreciated
