Victoria in better days

Rescanned and reprocessed

Another shot that has scrubbed up considerably better than the initial offering catches ETH fitted Peak no. 45139 taking the curves through Manchester Victoria in better days as it opens up for the climb up Miles Platting bank with a rake of mineral hoppers.

I've fond memories of "The Coastal" cafe on the platform opposite - always a good place for a greasy sausage roll and mug of tea, especially on a cold day, perfect fayre for the hungry railfan.

Thanks to Lancastrian2, the train has been identified as the 13.05 Pendleton - Topley Pike (6H34) empty aggregates.
