Another image, scanned almost 5 years ago, that has scrubbed up quite a bit better after a spell in LR.
Peak class 46 no. 46015, heading the 8.07am Newcastle - Bristol TM (1V07), slows for the curves through Rotherham station on 16th September 1977. The signal box "Masboro Station North Jct" looks a little careworn and there are already signs of track rationalization. That said the old Masboro' station was still one of the best spots in the Sheffield area for watching the trains with both passenger and freight in plentiful numbers, and of course you had the semaphores. For me, up there in the Top 10 UK best stations in the 70s.
