By way of a change from modern stuff another 70s shot that has brushed up quite a bit better than the original upload 4 years ago following a spell in Lightroom.
Peak no. 45137 "The Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment (T.A.)" approaches Holmes Junction shortly after leaving Rotherham with what's probably the 9.35am Carlisle - Nottingham (1M70) train on 16th September 1977. An 08 shunter can just be glimpsed above the oil tanks and, on the occasions I visited, it was generally in use.
This gritty industrial landscape of the 70s dominated by steel and metals has now all but disappeared, and the current view from the bridge where this shot was taken is barely recognisable.
