And with a whoosh she sped under the bridge....

Had a couple of hours spare this afternoon and, seeing that a class 5 working WCR working was making its way down from Carnforth to Southall and due to pass within the hour, I headed to my local spot Acton Bridge.

The train turned out to be top and tailed by 47s and, while the shot was pleasant enough in the sun, it was fairly routine and didn't quite make the cut.

Luckily however, up pops a DB Cargo Shed no. 66121 on the Down Slow loop with the 1.15pm Donnington RFT - Arpley Sidings (6F52) - arguably better positioned for a snap passing under the footbridge, and nicely able to exploit the blustery March sky.

It's unashamedly three-quarter chocolate box, but as I stood by the fence (right side of course), it kind of reminded me of my train-spotting days as a young lad.
