Mount Hood Oregon - HDR

This picture was shot handheld with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tonemapping and detail enhanced. I increased the blue and overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Shadow/Highlights and Curve adjustments were also used, to bring out the detail and increase the overall contrast.

The moon was visible but very distant. A separate shot of the moon was blended into the sky at 85%. The overall photo was processed through Topaz Adjust plugin to enhance the grains in the petrified trees. The petrified trees were then cloned into the HDR version leaving the sky and the snow-covered mountain intact.
