Tulip Festival 5 - HDR

This picture was shot handheld with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tonemapping and detail enhanced. I increased the red and yellow saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustments to increase the overall contrast. Unsharp Mask to increase the detail.

This shot shows the tulip in full bloom. The fiery red and yellow colors are intense. The 3 exposures definitely helped with the details since it was a bright sunny day, which tends to wash out parts of the yellow.

It was a beautiful Sunday. So, we decided to drive to Woodburn, Oregon to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. This is home to the Tulip Festival with 40 acres of tulips. I took hundreds of pictures but will post only a few. It was perfect time since most of the tulips were in full bloom. I hope you enjoy the shots that I processed.
