Swing Ride

My third creation for the ABS Builder Challenge Season 1 Finale.

 

The seed part was used for the swing chairs, the canopy, and the corners of the top of the tower.

This swing ride spins smoothly and the top can tilt in any direction as desired - it took a while to get the mechanism, balance, sturdiness, and height to work out, but in the end I'm very happy with the resulting functionality.

 

I estimate that the ground (64x64 studs) has at least 1,000 1x1 round tiles...I am not looking forward to taking the ground apart....at all...but at least it looks cool!

 

Some things to spot in the build:

- Storage slots for people going on the ride

- Microphone and measuring pole for the ride attendant

- That guy looking to snag that $100 bill

- The park clean up guy with the rollable trash can

- The kid who dropped his ice cream

- Star Wars day - kids can get pictures with Star Wars characters while waiting in line

- Selfie dude

 

The curved dark red seed part was used over 60 times.
