davidhorton1010 says: So much mystery and intrigue to this frame. The implications are endless. I love photographs that have this ability. They're the ones that stay with me the longest. The monochromatic color palette is the perfect compliment for the implied narratives.

davidhorton1010 says: This is one of at least three images I could have added to this gallery from Noppadol. This picture is a painting like much of Saul Leiter's work. (And I don't use that comparison lightly.) There are rare occasions when a photograph transcends the medium and becomes a work of art. For me, this is one of those occasions.

davidhorton1010 says: Such a beautifully poetic little scene. Two worlds colliding and coexisting. The geometry, lines, and complimentary gestures tie it all together.

davidhorton1010 says: I'm still waiting for a print of this picture from Maria. It's worth the wait. (Greeks can't be rushed!) I loved it the moment I saw it. A timeless, classic beauty that reminds me of the work of Louis Faurer.

davidhorton1010 says: So simple and so brilliant. Perfectly executed. I recently became aware of a similar photograph taken by one of the In-Public photographers. Not sure which came first but this is the better picture. The conjoined clouds and blue skies are the reason. The leading lines and locked horizon don't hurt either.

davidhorton1010 says: I've been following Jonathan's sobering and tragic photographic journey through the underbelly of Hong Kong for years. I admire the perseverance and authenticity of his quest. His pictures are ugly and beautiful, heartbreaking and sympathetic. The images leave scars. If you're not familiar with Jon's work, reading the title of this image will provide enough context.
