Boots by Karrimor. Sold at sort of lower-medium price point with about four years wear on them. Not my regular walking boots - just general out and about footwear.
Karrimor, a British firm was founded by Charles and Mary Parsons and her sister Grace Davies, who hand-sewed cotton-duck bicycle saddlebags from the upstairs of their Lancashire cycle shop.
They used to have a very good reputation for quality especially during the period when those in charge were keen outdoor types. Of late things have become somewhat complicated for the company and some have lost confidence. I for one.
