I recently learned about this project @12monthsonfilm . I typically do not do these programmed and planed social media things ( mostly because I’m to ADD and typically not a team sport kinda person however, thanks you @l.triley and @bob_filmcam_cole i started thinking about my cameras and about my limited knowledge of film stock available. So being curious and a bit inspired I went and counted up my cameras and surprisingly enough I have 12 ( note: I thought this was going to be a way of justifying another camera.. but NO). So Januarys installment is from an Argus C3 camera I bought and I had never used. It’s in beautiful condition and was cheep ( ok priced very reasonably). Loaded some Kentmere pan 400 by Harmon. Think this may also be a first for using this film stock and shot indoor photos of my studio space. It’s friggin winter and really friggin cold. Don’t judge me.

This camera falls in the category of “brick” it looks like a brick, feels like a brick, and heavy enough to be a brick. A brick.

Its range finder is so small you need glasses to find it. The focusing window is even smaller, Erik’s !

All in all it was fun to take time to play with hope and without expectations that I would get some photos and learn something. The first roll was marginally successful. Yay for double exposures!

Turns out there was an advance problem that could be operator error or mechanical malfunction. I hope to learn on the next roll. Yes I loaded another roll of Kentmere to see if I could improve based on these results. Stay tuned and ya, you can even have fun with bricks… who knew

Aside the antique lady Liberty zinc sculpture is in for conservation and repair. Seemed appropriate to post “Broken Liberty”today. Too subtle or not subtle enough?
