Car Trouble

We had a little car trouble on our way home from the competiton. It turned out that the clamp that attaches the battery cable, to the battery post on our car broke. After trying to jury rig a solution, we made it part way home, only to discover that we had been running on battery power. Once the battery was dead, the car sputtered to a stop.

 

There were many kind strangers who were willing to help out. A Lady from Georgia (who has a summer home in the Park City Area) stopped and took us to the Wal-Mart in Park City, where we were able to find the part we needed to fix the battery cable connection. (All of the auto parts stores were closed because of the Labor Day holiday) . Later, my brother came up from the Salt Lake City area to give us a jump, and to make sure we got home OK.

 

We made it home OK, but with a little more adventure than we had originally planned on.
