Churches and community organisations worked together to clean up the city centre of Pietermaritzburg that was ransacked in the #ZumaUnrest insurrection. In spite of the cleanup efforts, there is much that is damaged and significant buildings that have been burnt down. It will take some time before the centre of the city is restored.
